Commercial Fencing & Gates

JCS Group Services installs commercial fencing, vehicle access gates and site hoarding for developments and commercial sites. Our project experience includes timber fencing, V-mesh fencing, palisade fencing and hoarding with advertising panels.

A fence needs to suit the way a site is used. It may define a boundary, separate working areas, control access or form part of the finished appearance of a development. We look at those requirements alongside the ground conditions, layout and installation access.

Fencing for developments and commercial premises

Developers, main contractors and commercial property teams often need fencing at different stages of a project. During construction, hoarding can separate the work area from its surroundings. As a development is completed, permanent fencing and gates become part of the site layout.

JCS has installed timber hoarding and Dibond advertising panels at Barking Riverside, combining a site boundary with a surface for development communications. Our work also includes V-mesh fencing with planters at a new development and palisade fencing with vehicle entry gates in London.

These examples cover different uses, from construction hoarding to permanent boundaries. The choice of fencing depends on what the site needs to achieve and how it should look once the work is complete.

Choosing the right fencing for the site

The height, material and position of a fence affect both its appearance and its function. Gate locations need to account for the vehicles using them, while changes in ground level and existing structures can influence the installation.

Timber fencing may suit a scheme where appearance and screening are priorities. Mesh fencing can provide a defined boundary while retaining visibility. Palisade fencing is an option where the brief calls for a more substantial perimeter barrier.

We can discuss your proposed specification and the practical requirements of installing it. Where fencing forms part of a wider construction project, it also needs to be considered alongside hardstanding, landscaping and access routes.

Fencing as part of a wider installation

Our work at Barking Riverside includes riverfront decking and fencing, as well as a separate bespoke cedar-finished structure with landscaping. This experience is relevant to projects where the boundary treatment needs to sit comfortably alongside other outdoor works.

For developers and contractors, coordinating those elements early can help establish where one part of the work ends and the next begins. Fence lines, gate openings and adjoining surfaces should be considered together.
